Ministar Zbignjev Rau inaugurisao poljsko predsjedavanje OEBS-om
"Moramo da oživimo debatu o evropskoj bezbjednosti. Želimo da pokrenemo proces koji će nam pomoći da održimo principe koje je razvila konferencija u Helsinkiju, u potpunoj saglasnosti sa međunarodnim pravom", izjavio je šef poljske diplomatije na zasijedanju Stalnog savjeta OEBS-a u Beču, zvanično započinjući predsjedavanje Poljske OEBS-om.
Ministar Zbignjev Rau je u svom govoru naglasio da će se poljsko predsjedavanje zasnivati na značajnoj posvećenosti rješavanju bezbjednosnih izazova, posebno imajući u vidu činjenicu da je rizik od rata na području OEBS-a sada veći nego u bilo kojem trenutku u proteklih trideset godina.
Ministar Rau je istakao vrijednost poštovanja međunarodnog prava kao načina da se osigura suživot bez nasilja i prijetnji u cijelom regionu. Među prioritetima poljskog predsjedavanja naveo je i oporavak ekonomija nakon pandemije COVID-19 i podršku stanovništvu koje pati od sukoba.
Šef Ministarstva vanjskih poslova se sastao i sa generalnom sekretarkom OEBS-a Helgom Šmid, predstavnicima država učesnica i šefovima institucija OEBS-a.
Poljsko predsjedavanje OEBS-om trajaće do 31. decembra 2022. godine. Njegov simboličan završetak biće Ministarski savjet OEBS-a u Lođu u danima 1-2. decembar. U međuvremenu će se u Poljskoj, Beču i na mnogim drugim lokacijama održati niz tematskih i stručnih događaja u sklopu predsjedavanja.
