Huawei Malezija veruje u vještine i unapređenje liderstva, pa tako u saradnji sa Fondacijom za žene (WLF), kompanija planira da organizuje “Kamp za obuku budućih žena liderki” koji ima za cilj da otkrije, zadrži i oslobodi buduće ženske talente u državi kako bi se poboljšala njihova vidljivost. Kroz ovaj kamp za obuku, žene će biti obučene tehnološkim vještinama, ali i različitim tehnikama liderstva koje će ih učiniti efikasnim i strateškim liderima. Rita Irina Abd Vahab, potpredsjednica sektora za javne poslove i komunikacije Huawei Malezija, rekla je da žene imaju ograničenu zastupljenost na poslovima napredne tehnologije koji zahtjevaju viši nivo vještina i koji su bolje plaćeni. Ove vještine i poslovi su sve više traženi usljed tranzicije ka visoko digitalizovanom svijetu nakon pandemije, zbog čega je potrebno da postoji ozbiljna namjera politike i samih kompanija da podstaknu žene u digitalnoj ekonomiji.
„Planiramo da održimo i Otvorene časove za žene liderke. Kroz ove časove, neki od Huawei akreditovanih programa biće dostupni ženama, uključujući časove AI (vještačke inteligencije), cloud-a, 5G, IoT-a i velikih podataka“, rekla je Rita Irina. Jednak pristup digitalnoj tehnologiji i učešće u profesionalnim aktivnostima ključni su za inkluzivni oporavak nakon pandemije, zato digitalna ekonomija ne smije postati novi način diskriminacije žena.
„Žene moraju da imaju jednak pristup mogućnostima kako bi imale priliku da se takmiče i napreduju u visoko digitalizovanom svijetu nakon pandemije. Poznavanje tehnologije pomoći će ženama da se približe postizanju rodne digitalne ravnopravnosti, ali i da se izjednače uslovi za sve“, rekla je Rita Irina i dodala da svega 7,4 odsto izvršnih direktora Fortune Global 500 čine žene.
