evropskog progresa je saopštila da će odmah nakon nikšićkih izbora inicirati
podizanje u Nikšiću spomenika arhitekti Josipu Slade Šiloviću,
autoru prvog urbanističkog plana grada iz 1883.
Danas je
197. godišnjica Sladeovog rođenja. Naš cilj je da mu se Nikšić do 200.
godišnjice oduži spomenikom.

Šilović je najveći dio karijere arhitekte i inženjera posvetio Crnoj Gori, a
posebno našem Nikšiću, kazao je arhitekta Matija Vujović, drugi na
odborničkoj listi „Vrijeme je za Nikšić – Stranka evropskog progresa – Nikola
Čvorović“.
„I danas
neka od najznačajnijih i najmonumentalnijih djela kao što su Dvorac knjaza
Nikole, Carev most, prvi, i dugo jedini urbanistički plan u Crnoj Gori, po
kojem je Nikšić i danas poznat i na čijim se principima i temeljima i današnji
grad razvija, Sladeova su djela. Nažalost, kao i mnogi drugi velikani Slade je
prepušten kulturi zaborava, ali ćemo se mi truditi da obnovimo kulturu sjećanja
na naše poznate Nikšićane“, kazao je Vujović.
